Almost every OEM recommends inspections of their overhead athletic equipment be done a minimum of once every year (some recommend twice a year).
In our years of inspecting athletic equipment we’ve often found components & parts that are not rated for overhead lifting or have not been installed properly.
Below are just a small sample of some of the deficiencies (safety concerns) we find during our inspections. We not only inspect athletic equipment, we offer complete repairs and or replacement.

EXCESSIVE PULLEY WEAR – This wire rope cable has wore almost completely through the pulley sheave. Also a carabiner is being used which is not rated for overhead lifting.

IMPROPER HARDWARE USE – This bolt has been used as an attachment point and has bent from upper force.

BAD ELECTRICAL – These wires have the outer jacket worn off.

EXCESSIVE SHEAVE WEAR – This sheave has the inner bearing and outer walls worn.

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
BAD WIRE ROPE – This wire rope cable has many broken wires.

[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
CRACKED WALL/FOUNDATION – These wall blocks are cracked and structure is separating from the wall.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
CRACKED MOUNTING HARDWARE – Steel is cracking at the bend on this pipe clamp.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
QUICK LINKS – Quick links should not be used for over head lifting. They often open and can then stretch.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
3 WRAPS – Wire rope cable needs 3 wraps on the winch drum. This is required by most all winch manufacturers/OEM’s. This creates a stronger bond with the drum, helps to wrap cable on drum correctly and eases friction on the point where the wire rope attaches to the drum.

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
BENT HANGER BRACKET – Bent brackets create a weak spot and need to be repaired.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
WIRE ROPE THAT NEEDS REPLACEMENT – Over time wire rope cable can overlap on itself, wrap wrong on the drum and many other scenarios which cause wear.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
INCORRECT PULLEY HANGER – This pulley is wrapped around and putting incorrect stress on the structure.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
INCORRECT MOUNTING OF OVERHEAD STRUCTURE – These threaded rods are bent which causes weakness.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
HANGER RODS SHOULD BE STRAIGHT – Any and all rod used for hanging structure should be straight, bend rods are a weak spot.
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
POOR SAFETY STRAP MOUNTING – This is mounted using an improper method
[/ezcol_2third_end]
[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
IMPROPER MOUNTING – This quick link is sandwiched between a bracket and washer and could easily let loose.
