Tennis Court Equipment and Tennis Backboard Hitting Walls

Over twenty steps go into the construction of each of the panels on the Bakko tennis backboard hitting walls. Pre-fabricated panel concept allows virtually an unlimited size and/or placement capability for any facility or application. Each panel is 4 feet wide, 8 or 10 feet high and weighs 80 to 150 pounds. The backboards are ready for play when the pre-fabricated, completely finished, green fiberglass interlocking panels are affixed to your tennis court fence posts or wall. The Bakko assembly kit holds the panels in a tight, unitized,
s i d e – b y – s i d e construction. Kits come in traditional flat and single curved styles. All Bakko kits are complete.

Minimum adequate size is 8′ high by 12′ wide backboard (3 panels). Attaches to two tennis court fence posts which, on most tennis courts, are spaced 10′ apart.

Typically 16′ wide (4 panels) and 20′ wide (5 panels)  backboards require 3 tennis fence post for attachment. A 16′ backboard, if post are standard, expose more channel and hardware. It is not as aesthetically pleasing. Typically 3 or 5 panel models have minimal hardware and channel exposure.

If post are 8′ apart a 16′ wide backboard can be elegant. 20′ wide backboards are very popular, especially in the 10′ high series. Bakko feels a 12′ backboard is adequate if only 1 person hits.

If occasionally or potentially 2 people may practice, a 16′ backboard is recommended. If 2 people hit and elegance is important, a 20′ backboard is a must. Schools and tennis camps sometimes purchase 6, 7 and 8 panel kits, several panels for a continuous wall.

Permanent Net Line

Forget replacing net lines made of flimsy tape.  Rally Master lines are permanently etched into the panels.

Mounting System

Installation is even simpler than before by developing a faster panel mounting system.  It provides a universal fence bracket that allows the installer to quickly adjust the strut alignment to compensate for fence posts that are slightly bent or out of plumb.

Corrosion-resistant Hardware

Panels are mounted to heavy-duty, galvanized cross braces that are attached to vertical posts using galvanized hardware for unmatched durability.

Sizing

Rally Master Backboards are manufactured in 10’x4’ panels.  The minimum size available for purchase is 10’x12’.  There is no limit on length, the only requirement being that the total length is divisible by four.

Premium Tennis Nets provide long-lasting durability for optimal play. 42’ length meets official specifications. Constructed of high-quality braided polyethylene with a heavy-duty vinyl-coated headband.

PVC coated polyester open mesh.  Reinforced hems and rust-resistant grommets spaced at 18″ intervals. 18″ dia half-moon wind vents recommended to allow wind passage (sold separately). Simple plastic cable tie installation (sold separately). Windscreen customization available.  Multiple colors available. Height: 6′ & 9′. Maximum length of a single piece wind screen is 100′. Screens over 100′ will be made in sections. Custom heights above 6′ will be charged at 9′ pricing. Heights cannot exceed 9′. Wind screens higher than 6′ require a centered horizontal lacing lip along entire length.
